Pajama Day Fundraiser

07 March 2019

We just did a fantastic fundraiser for refugees in Jordan, and are so proud to have raised a ton of money in just one day!  Read more about it from the organizer herself:

My name is Kimberlyn Berry and I am the DEMS sponsor attending the Compassion Summit 2019 in Amman, Jordan. The purpose of the Compassion Summit is to bring like-minded schools together to create, enhance, and promote greater levels of compassion within our school communities...and it starts with the students…because peace is born in schools. With energizing keynote speakers, workshops, and opportunities for students to build action plans for their schools, the Compassion Summit is a gathering of endless potential.

While we are at the summit, we have an opportunity to do our part and help out the refugees in Amman. Last year ISG took over 50 boxes of clothes for the refugees. This year we have decided to raise money and purchase items most needed once we are in Amman.

DEMS will be raising money through a pajama day on Thursday, March 7, 2019. In order to wear pajamas to school, students must bring at least 10 riyals. The money will be collected from students during their homeroom. 100% of the money will go to refugees in Amman, Jordan when we attend this trip on March 13-18.

Thank you for your support of this project!
